This is the first of its kind!! All of the other color block pottery I've made has been with speckled buff (or similar) clay. This is the first one with dark clay.
The unglazed negative space around the colorful glazed shapes highlights the beauty of the dark brown clay. I mainly tried to choose glaze colors that "pop" against the dark clay. These color block mugs are priced a bit higher due to the amount of time it takes to glaze in this manner. (Truly a labor of love!) Approximately 4.4" tall; 0.85 pounds.
Exterior colors are greens, blues, orange and rosy purple. Interior is blue.
This pottery is food-safe, microwave-safe and dishwasher-safe.
