This somewhat wonky vase was growing on me while I carved the whimsical feathery patterns into the surface. Then it became one of my favorites when it came out of the glaze kiln.
The wavy glaze border leaves some of the dark brown clay and graceful texture unglazed. Glaze is a combination of mottled light greens, blues and browns which draw the eye to the carved texture. Approximately: 5" tall, 4.5" shoulder diameter, 3.1" rim diameter; 1.25 lbs.
Pottery appearance (i.e. color) may be slightly different than online images due to my amateur photography skills and variation in your screen settings. I do my best to upload photos which accurately represent each piece.
